F80 M3 CS Versus M3 Competition Dillemma

This is the F80 M3 CS review that convinced me to buy one versus buying a F80 M3 Competition and being done with it.  Initially, I thought the F80 M3 CS was out of my range and unjustifiable in price difference until I started researching what the F80 M3 CS was all about.  This review by Joe Achilles back in 2018 absolutely convinced me otherwise and that it was worth every penny in paying extra for an F80 M3 CS.  It quelled many concerns I had versus buying a F80 M3 Competition.

Expert F80 M3 and F82 M3 Comparisons

Without spoiling too much of the video, I will say Joe absolutely nails describing some of the key differences between the F80 M3 Competition and the F80 M3 CS.  He does an excellent job of putting the car through its paces and offering his expert opinion about the driving experience which, to me, is the most important part about buying a proper sports car.  I love the fact that he has driven the other F80 M3 and F82 M4 trims and compares and contrasts those experiences to the F80 M3 CS to give you a proper expert review.

“Top 3 Best Cars He’s Driven”

Probably the best compliment he paid to the CS was when he stated at the time (circa 2018) that this was in his “top 3 best cars he’s ever driven” with the Porsche Cayman GT4 and the Mercedes AMG GT-R being the other 2 cars.  That quote right there was a huge reason I bought my CS.  I thought to myself, “how could you go wrong in buying one of these with such high praise”.   He wasn’t wrong.  I remember breaking-in the engine and doing it’s 1,200 mile initial service and finally opening up the car on my favorite b-roads and kept thinking how spot on Joe’s review was.
